O tamanho e a forma do produto variam em cada peça devido ao processo de fabrico. A aparência da irregularidade do esmalte colorido varia em cada peça. Alguns produtos podem apresentar uma textura semelhante a queimado na superfície. É um efeito de esmalte único chamado "yo-hen", uma transformação de cor não intencional que aparece na cerâmica e porcelana após a cozedura.
